She’s a trade journalist who has covered issues as diverse as aviation, employment and training, welfare reform, economic development and agriculture/agribusiness. She’s also spent five years on “the dark side,” in senior corporate communications positions at two airlines and an aircraft engine manufacturer.
Benét covered the regional aviation industry from 1993 to 2001. During that time, she watched as regional carriers grew up and became almost mirror images of their larger airline partners. In this interesting article she explores how high fuel costs and industry changes may create an inventory of great aircraft available at dirt cheap prices (relatively). Not like you’re going to be able to park it in the driveway.
This is a great article that makes you think about an industry that many of us just take for granted …. Aviation is a business and not just a replacement of the Greyhound bus.

Pssst…. Stop using plastic produce bags -- please!
I’m not a Plastic Avenger but the people at the “No Plastic Project” are. We all know that plastic pollutes and nod into submission that we should do more to stop using the crap. So here I am with a stick… reminding you that plastic is BAD! It is very good in many instances, but there are many uses which we can really do without.
